2013 Malibu Eco - yah or nay?

Asked by swanek Feb 07, 2018 at 06:59 AM

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I would appreciate any help.  I'm interested in purchasing a 2013 Malibu
Eco with 28k miles for $11k; one owner. I'm hesitant because when driving it
felt like it wasn't going to shift into the next gear and it felt a bit sluggish.  Is
this normal?  Also, was there a reason Chevy didn't continue with the Eco?
My understanding 2013 was the only year for it; possibly 2014 as well.  I'm
just concerned there is a problem or going to be a problem especially since
Chev didn't continue with the Eco.  Thank you for your time in reading and
look forward to any response.

If it felt sluggish I would avoid it and look for another vehicle. Replacing a transmission is very expensive. There are much better cars out there for similar money. Perhaps look at Honda and Toyota vehicles.
