Replacing beetle seats

Those are two completely different cars. Only the name is the same.

Anything can be done. The 70 Beetle had seat rails that were welded into the floor pan. You just slid the seat off them to remove it. The New Beetle has a seat rail that bolts to the floor. Cutting out the old rails and building supports for the new seats is not incredibly complicated. But does require a welder and some fabrication skills.
With customization you can put a Chevy V8 in a beetle but this seat conversion is not a "bolt in" job which is probably what JLITTLE1 wanted to know.

Thank you. I could obtain really good seats but I didn't want to get in over my head with installation.
