99 Mercury sable

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Heavy rain, drove through water on the road, car
stalled and won't start. Theft light flashes after
turning key to on position. Anybody know how to
fix this problem?

No. I checked that. The theft light is blinking now, it wasn't doing that before. I'm not even sure it has anything to do with the rain.

Yes I have tried that, and a couple of other things I plan to try again now that I have the car home. I haven't been able to look the whole thing over yet either so I'm hoping it's a disconnection somewhere. Maybe the altenater?
