1984 6.2l Suburban 4x4

I know that it needs glow plugs,
but my question is the silver
vertically rectangular box on
my firewall. It is leaking slowly
after driving. Is this a water
extractor? Can I simply unclip it
and empty it (gasket?) or must
it be replaced?
