Ford f150 no accelerator response at all how do
you tell if its positioning sensor or throttle body

Yes but it seemed to be generic throttle body not too specific i just replaced it . was working fine till i disconnected the battery the check engine and wrench light went on pedal to floor and no response

for a 2004?? It probably wouldn't hurt to check out your FPDM as well. The fuel pump driver module has everything to do with the vehicle when you turn your key over. Because Ford decided it wanted different components to communicate with each other and if anyone of those parts quit working, it's hell for you ( not fun). SO, when you drop your spare tire out of the back, you will see a tiny black box sitting on the frame being held by 2 8 to 9 mm screws. that is your FPDM. About $80 to 100 to replace. Easy fix, but pain in the A@@ to even figure out why Ford would do that. I do not have that feature on my mid 90s. good luck, hopefully this helps
