I have a 2006 Chevy Impala Ss and I start it up and it runs
but soon as I put it in gear it shuts off

lube the key/turn/hi/low//flasher/tilt/steering column with wd-40... work it in/move it all around...i had a dirty something?in mine and that cleared it up...cant hurt to try
