why wont my car move in reverse? i have a 2011 chevy malibu

The first thing to do is to start the car and be sure the transmission fluid is hot. Check your transmission fluid while the car is running. If the level is low add the correct fluid for the make of car. If the transmission fluid is at the correct level, be sure that you don't have any check engine lights illuminated in the car while running. If you do check to see what the code is. It may be a transmission code. If there are no transmission codes then I would advise going to a reputable shop to have it checked out.
