It was in my mind when I was thinking about it, I guess rates have gone up a bit hey? he,he, he...
A bit? from $15/hour in the early 70's, which was making people faint, to $80 now or $100 dealer and people don't blink. Here is how old I am.. Down the street there were 4 gas stations on four corners of an intersection. Busy one. Chevron, Shell, 76, Esso. The used to have 'gas wars' and honest to gosh I can recall 19¢/gallon. This was early-60's
When I started out gas was .32 cent a gal. and a pack of smokes where also .32 cent a pack.
I can remember 25 cents a gallon in the late 60's.
Well aren't we a bunch of grumpy old men...go figure, and I though you guys were kids...
