I have a 05 impala. As I drive it up & down the highway & through town it cuts off. I have to pull over & crank it back up. It bucks & stall out while driving Could it be the fuel pump?

Good choice but a "shot-gun" method of fixing a car is a sure way of costing lots of money ( and get you stuck somewhere) Having a mechanic do a pressure check is cheap .. lot cheaper than a new fuel pump. I just repaired a car that had the insulation melt on the crank sensor (too close to exhaust pipe) that did exactly the same until it finally shorted for good ,, then she had to get it fixed
