Why do I keep shorting out my starter solenoid in my 84 ford

is it the stock wiring?.. is the ground to the block/frame good...is it not shimed / to tight???????????????does it labor to turn the motor???is the motor stock?

7.3 are very hard on starters mine goes out on average 6 to 10 months almost to the day deal with it if your going to have the 7.3 its all because of the compression of the engine...
