As a highschool student would I have to get a loan or could a simply make monthly payments to the dealer? Please help!

I come from a low income family, but I work really really hard and am confident I could make monthly payments if I could work something out. I am in desperate need of a car so I wont have to walk to work in the cold so the sooner I could have an understanding of this the better! Thanks

How much money have you saved up for the down payment, taxes,insurance and registration fees? Any dealer or finance company will want you to have some of your own money invested.
