Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am looking for a Diesel truck to buy. At what point is mileage too high? What should I
look for when I'm looking a a truck with over 100k miles. Also, which engine is the lowest
cost of ownership? Thanks

402400 miles on 1999 F350 when I sold it. The 7.3 diesel engines are bullet proof. What ever you do RUN DON'T WALK from a Ford 6.0. 100000 miles is nothing for a diesel.

On a used diesel, you must do a compression check- as for cost of ownership, starting with the price of diesel fuel, I see no advantage to owning a diesel compared to a gas engine-

Yeah, you guys in the states are getting screwed royally on diesel fuel. I'm paying $0.75 LESS per gallon for diesel here in the Philippines then gas.
