Is an offer of $2500 - $3000 a fair/reasonable amount for a 1988 Toyota pickup in good condition and with low mileage (i.e., under 50K miles)?

If you are in the south, yes. If you are in the salt belt you'd be lucky to get $1200. I just sold my 89 4x4 for $1200 here in N.E. It had 250K but I kept it up really well. If you are in the south and it's a 4x4 with only 50k original miles, I would be asking at least $5000. Check Craigslist for your state and see what people are getting for their trucks.
