I have a 1997 Sun fire, the car was pluged in all night, when I went to start it this morning the noise was like it wanted to start but the battery was almost dead, and the check engine light came on,what could be wrong with it? Is it possible it was too cold last night ?

Possible but more likely just a bad battery. Have battery tested. Clean and tighten all battery connections also.
