I have a 94 mark VIII. I need a trans. The forums state that a trans from a 98-02 crown Vic/grand Marquis will work. A better, stronger, newer trans would be great. Any swap options out there? Thanks.

Thanks for that. Does that mean that those transmissions are a direct swap in? No mods.

It means they will bolt on your engine. It means that transmission was used in those cars, no guarantee on having to have driveshaft lengthened, or cut, shortened and balanced if it comes from a donor with a different wheelbase. Probably won't...should be fine.. but I present that information for what is it, no guarantees other than it will bolt up. Linkage should be same or close enough..no worries.
