1.6 vs 2.0

Engine made by same company, for example b series b16 and b18. Ones a 1.6 and ones a 1.8 . What is
done to the 1.6 to make it a 1.8 engine? Does piston, piston rods, crankshaft, camshafts have anything
to do with it?

nope... it only improves compression and fuel burn... you cant turn a 1600cc engine into 1800cc unless you change the whole thing... they are very very different in terms of engine size, bore-stroke, cam profiles... but you can add some bolt-ons on both engines to give it a little extra kick...
