depends how u look at fast: fastest top speed, fastest from 0 to 60, et cetera. Either way the Barabus TKR just kicks ass!!! 270mph, 0-60 in 1.87 seconds

This question is getting really old, almost as old as the people repeatedly saying the WRONG answer. SSC holds the record, many of the ones named haven't come close to there theoretical top speeds which they use to claim the fastest, and their theoretical top speeds don't match the theoreticals of even the old SSC's. They uped the horsepower over their already record holding 2007&2008 models by 15% to 1287hp (reportedly) with a "6th gear rated top speed of 287.102 mph"... They are supposedly targeting the 270mph mark with the 2009 models Will it ever get there... likely not, you'd need perfect conditions for an extreme distance... Is it still faster than anything else without reaching it's top speed... yup nothing else can hold a candle to it right now. No one can best the old models yet.

No way. There are cars with more horsepower than that. It really depends on what class you're referring to though. I mean, the Thrust SSC runs on turbofan engines and breaks the sound barrier.
