makes of cars

not all the cars are american... the only american automakers are: Ford, Lincoln, Mercury (Ford also owns Aston Martin and Jaguar) Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth GM, GMC, Saturn, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Geo notable british manufacturers: Vauxhall, Opel German Manufacturers: VW, BMW, Mini, porsche swedish: Koenigsegg, Volvo (volvo is owned by ford) Italian/French: lamborghini, ferrari Korean: Kia, Hyundai Japanese: Nissan, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Infinity, Lexus, Scion, probably more i cant seem to remember them all off-hand and where do you live? in some areas more people buy american cars, in other areas its more import cars.

1) GMC is british, not american 2) Opel is german, not british 3) Volvo is british, not swedish & is not owned by ford u dunno much dude.. pls dun reply 2 questions widout thinking..

1) GMC is British? hmm... last I heard they had their headquarters in Detroit... Were American founded and have been an important piece of our economy for decades... "What's good for General Motors is good for America" 2) Opel is German, but owned by GM so technically American owned... They own Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GM Daewoo, GMC, Holden, Hummer, Opel, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Vauxhall, and Wuling... They were about to buy Fiat a few years ago but decided not to at the last minute or they would own... Fiat, Ferrari, and Maserati as well... 3) Volvo cars is owned by Ford and based in Britain using the name plate of Volvo AG, a Swedish company producing commercial vehicles.... "u dunno much dude.. pls dun reply 2 questions widout thinking.. " Take your own advice, at least don't derogatorily reply to people with meaningful input...

Yeah thanks for the reply.. I suppose I wrote the message without thinking... I pretty much knew the above.. I think Car IQ is top! There are still quite alot of American motors in the questions though, they keep nudging me down! Argh !

to add to the above list, audi is also german and subaru is japanese, lexus ,acura and infiniti are american divisions of toyota,honda and nissan.
