automatic transmissions

Depending on your year/make/model most vehicles now a days require that the transmission be in Park in order to start.

You have to have an automatic in neutral or park for safety reasons. if you could start it while it was in drive or reverse, it could take off and injure or kill someone, or damage property. Just think if a kid got into a car and put it into drive and then started it.

ahh thats why when u role it down tha hill to start it cause your missuss got ur keys it won't start it just makes a noise like i got a coffee grinda under the hood
