Market Prices are dropping so why are dealers inflating prices??

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Market prices are dropping and will soon be back to normal prices. It’s on the news and internet so why aren’t
the prices here being reflected as on other sites. The longer dealers keep prices inflated the more they are going
to lose when the bottom drops!

Do you believe everything you see on the "news" and the internet? I don't! Demand for vehicles is still high, both new and used while supply is still low! On September 15th a friend ordered a 2023 Ford Maverick and was told he'll be very lucky to get it by Spring! In fact the reality is, he was also told, he probably won't get the vehicle until this time next year!! It's simple economics, when demand is high and supply is low, prices are high and will remain so until supply is able to keep up with demand. Hope that helps! Jim

Agreed, this market will continue for another two to three years IMO. Maybe prices dropped, but would you notice a $100 drop on a $30K car?
