Prime means it has plug in capability. They also use gas and electric hybrid motor. All 3 and it's the same price as a hybrid or very close.

I always recommend a plug-in: lets you plug in at home and give the car's generator a break..... I don't know what your requirements or preferences are, so find the type of car that appeals to you. Got o sites like Edmonds and TrueCar to review cars and reliability ratings, and pick what you like most. But do get the plug.
