Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5.3 vortec
motor, I went out to start it this morning and when I
turned the key to the on position it started making
a clicking sound plenty of power in battery, I kept
turning back and forth from the off position to the
start posution and after a few tries it started right
up drove it around all day running errands had no
problems shutting it off and starting it back up but
after I let it set for a few hours I had to sit and
switch the key back and forth for a few minutes
before it fired back up. Was wondering if anyone
had any ideas?
