Title in EVR

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I sold my car recently to a person I met through CarGurus. They paid in a cash
transaction in a private sell from me after we met. We did not use the CarGurus
secure transaction. They cannot get a tag for this car now because the title is
hung up in EVR. This was a clean title that I signed over. Anyone heard of this
or know what to do?

Apparently it is an Electronic Vehicle Registration. Never heard of it until the buyer went to the DMV

I would contact your local DMV and explain the situation.

You've done all you can do, at this point it's a waiting game. The buyer should of received a receipt with the estimated time from the DMV. What's the state and vin# ? Was their a lien ?
