does fwd indicate front wheel or four wheel drive?

FWD is a Front Wheel Drive, a 4 Wheel Drive will be listed as a 4WD. Don't confuse these with AWD, they do not have any lever or button to select 4HI or 4LO.

FWD means Front Wheel Drive and there's also the 4WD wich stands for 4 Wheel Drive or so I was always taught,hope this helos
