It is better to run premium gas,you get better gas mileage and car run,s better, but that said,no you can run regular.

I do not believe this engine requires premium (91+ octain) gas. If you do not have the owner's manual, a quick internet search will provide the answer. Use the grade gas recommended by GM. Premium gas will do nothing to enhance performance. The higher octane level just retards the flash point of when the gas ignites inside each cylinder. If your engine does not call for it you are just wasting money. It won't hurt your engine but it will do nothing to improve its performance.

Premium gas is a scam and a waste of money.

T_S_T is completely wrong. Higher octanes do NOT make your car . run better, do NOT improve gas millage in any way (it actually worsens millage slightly) and absolutely does NOT make your car last longer. The only reason you should ever use high octane gasoline is if your car specific manual states so. This is based on the optimum combustion for your car (which often requires octane as low as 87).
