I drive a 2007 Hyundia Elantra it has 166,000 miles do I need to have my timing belt changed? I went to get my oil changed and the mechanic said I was driving a time bomb since it hadn't been changed.

You should have replaced the belt 106,000 miles ago. Drive it very gingerly to your mechanic and have it replaced immediately. It is a miracle that it has lasted this long.

Yes I have it scheduled to have it fixed this week. I just wasn't sure if they were just telling me that since I'm a single woman. Thank you for your answer:-)
