If you're trying to charge the system yourself follow there is typically a procedure on the can of 134a refrigerant. The car has to be running and A/C on MAX Cool to take a charge. I would check the charge with a gauge. You can get cheap gauges at the auto parts store that will work in a bind. Is the charge in fact low? How did you verify system charge? Thanks.
