Key/ ignition Problem

Asked by Thunderstick Jul 20, 2010 at 09:22 AM about the Dodge Nitro

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My key is stuck in the ignition for no apparent reason. It will not turn to the left to turn off far enough to get key out. I must disconnect battery or it will kill it. It will turn to the right and you can dtive it. Most of the time the three lights come on ie: ABS ESP skid thing. It happened out of the blue without any signs of problem. Please help I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars in time for mechanic to find eventually. That happened already about two months ago. Apparently I had a corroded wire inside vehicle. Thay had to trace it to the back, takeing seats out ect. Please!!! if anyone can help!!
