i have a 1987 chevy truck will the engine and tranny fit from a 1994 chevy suburban

You need all the wire harness & computer & all modules, sensors, relays, fuse panels, basically transplant everything to the body & frame of the 87. I mean all the wiring.

The engine you can for sure, you would just need to swap some parts from one to the other without changing the wiring harness. You want to get the original set-up on top of the engine. The transmission may be a different story. Just check the wiring plugins to see if there the same. If it plugs in to the existing wiring harness, then your golden.
