the brake pedal is squeaky, how do I remedy it?

Is the noise coming from the pedal linkage itself from inside the car? A little Silicon spray or WD-40 on the pivot points might help.

Look for a "dry lubricant" like a PTFE spray. It will quiet the squeak without attracting dirt and dust the way a wet lubricant does. You can buy those at any hardware or auto parts store.
