what do the casting # c l 26, c l 15, c l 11 mean

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1994 dohc had a blown head gasket, head gaskets have been replaced, I just started
finishing up on this. Installing camshaft sprockets & timing belt. Rotate crankshaft
clockwise, crank stops, rotate counter clockwise, about the same degrees, crank
stops. Look down intake ports, one direction intake& exhaust valves make contact, the
other direction this happens in a different cylinder between # 3 & # 5 cylinder. I think
the camshafts were installed in corect location but cams have j or k markings. What
can I do to remedy this or these issues.

Hold up the cams are different. The stopping is the pistons hitting the valves. Use caution or you will bend them.
