So I Fan Blower/resistor, and it still doesn't work, and I now have additional electrical issues.

Asked by Cheeto14 Mar 09, 2017 at 11:08 AM about the Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

OK so I replaced my resistor(it was bad) and the fan motor.. now the fan
motor "whines" horribly. I get some hot air, but the fan barely runs ...if at all
and its -25 outside.  So heres the best part, now my interior lights flash on/off
and the door ajar warning starts to chime at 25mph..WTF!
Any ideas, are the fan/door warning/ lights issues all connected some how.

If you don't have a meter, pick one up and see what voltages you get at these component's harness connectors, on the off-chance you have an undervoltage situation. You may also want to look at the body control module, make sure it is seated properly and not wet. When you get multiple interior issues like you have it tends to be from the BCM.
