When I hit a bump my waring lights for engines and gages freak out.

Asked by azbugeaters Jul 13, 2016 at 04:51 PM about the Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Big Horn.  5.7 and when I hit a bump hard enough my engine light comes on along with all of my other warning lights.  And my Temperature and Oil read nothing.  It acts like a short somewhere.  Can anyone help?  When I turn the ignition off and back on its fine except the engine light stays on.

Loose ground cables, and or other wiring issues, connectors cause this anomaly. A short will cause burnt fuses an Open causes a circuit not to conduit a signal. Scan it for codes then you will know why the engine light is ON.

Error Codes Reed: P0481 - Fan 2 Control Circuit P0480 - Low Speed (No 1) Fan Relay Control Circuit U0141 - Lost Communication With Body Control Module "A" Definition: Code P0481 indicates a fault in the Fan 2 Control electrical circuit for a predetermined period of time
