Why does remote start stop when i simply insert the key

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 with 10k miles. Sometimes remote starts, sometimes
in doesn't. Today I started the truck while inside the truck using remote start. I
put key in and vehicle shuts off. Vehicle will start using key without remote

If you stepped on the brake before turning the key it will shutdown.

That wasn't it, but thanks. Is it possible that I hit the remote too fast, thus disabling the system? I restarted ,turned off truck. Then used the remote, when I did it started. However as soon as I put in key it stopped. Is there some sort of shut down mechanism where it takes the remote to recycle? Because after running truck it worked fine
