96 dodge caravan does not want shut off, no key in ignition switch, I had to disconnect the neg
wire.. If i try to put the wire back on battery car tries to turn on. I checked tumbler all seems well
key turns with no problem no sticking. Check the starting switch also good. 96 caravan le 3.8l

Disconnect this wire at the starter (Click on picture). If your starter still tries to crank by itself, when you reconnect the negative battery cable, then you need a new starter.
