diesel in a dakota

is there a diesel engine available in the dakota line up ?  something to improve fuel mileage.

No their is not a diesel engine avaliable for the dodge Dakota. I work at a dodge chrylse jeep dealership and the Dakota is a mid size so they will not come out with a diesel engine for it.

A lot of websites say: The Dodge Dakota 2016 diesel version will be a 2.8-liter inline 4 which will provide 160 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, being basically the same as that in the new Wrangler.
