2001 Chevy Tracker

My tracker wont engage in 4 wheel drive but the light will come on and then
go back off. Has anyone ever had this problem?

It's a 1985 Dodge Ramcharger 318 motor it runs great when it's cold and when it gets hot it backfires through the exhaust

GuruVWZ8S : you should post your own question for answers but I would guess either your catalytic converter is clogged or you need a valve job
