Hard shifting can be a transmission giving up but it can also be bad shift solenoids, a TCM, speed sensors, plugged transmission cooling system. You didn’t state what year but you may have a setting in the main menu that will show transmission temperature. The cooler the better, heat will kill a transmission very quickly.

Automatic transmission and every bit of work has been done by the dealership I got it from it starts shifting hard like a jerk when it shifts and not long after it will go out I have only had this transmission for like 2 months and it is starting to shift hard from first to second and when I take it out of park it pops real loud

I asked about the warranty and he said I got this transmission from last warranty and that I can’t get another one but I don’t understand the 3 Transmissions before did the same thing before shredding the gears in the transmission I honestly think he is just putting used transmissions but it still don’t make sense why it is going through so many of them

Cause he’s not fixing the real problem or using poor rebuilds. Call the BBB and get action started.

I’m not sure I can do anything about it I got it from a used car dealership

What year ? GM made a bunch of different trannys like yours , Some where good some not so good . I think you have one that came with a crappy design , inherently bad . That's what I think ,Your experience may differ
