1992 Chevy Silverado ran out of gas, put more in and wont start.

How much gas did you put in tank ? I know that back in the day they would put the fuel filter inside of the gas tank on the bottom of the tank and soon as you put gas it would pick it up but the newer vehicle the fuel filter sits up off the bottom to keep from picking up junk at bottom of tank so you may have to add a little more for the filter to pick the gas up.

That's true. Good info. If I may add, since the gas is what cools the pump, sometimes running out will burn it up
