Do I need to remove the skid plate on my 2012 Z71 to get to the oil drain plug? I can easily grt to the oil filter.

...will oil get all over the place if you do not? collection jug can easily be placed under the drain plug?...I would not bother with that~

splish-splash I am takin' a bath...in oil...for the rest of the night~...would remove it entirely, then...will give you an opportunity to smarten it up a bit with a bit of foamy engine brite~
