Can we by pass crankshaft sensor

Question type: General

We took 4.3 v6 Chevy motor out
of 93 and put it in 97 . Now 93
didn't have sensor &97 does . Wat
do we have to do to get it running

See if you can install the reluctor wheel and sensor from the 97 onto the 93 engine. If not you could try to use the 93 ECU. This is why I always tell people not to swap OBD1 engines into OBD2 cars.

Exactly, the 93 is OBD I but the 97 is OBD II. They're completely different computer control systems! Hope that helps! Jim
