wont start

my car started this morning and died now it wont start up just turns and trns but doesnt start up white smoke sometime comes out of the muffler and almost wants to back fire.ne info?

sounds like it jumped time,if fuel related turn keyswitch to start position,dont try to crank,listen to see if you here the fuel pump humming,will hum for about 3 seconds.if you here it is ok.then you should have timeing checked & have the crank sensor checked,it may be bad.

I had an issue with starting in the cold this winter. New spark plugs and wires got me going.
