what is the difference between a Honda Element LX vs EX vs LX or EX-P?

Asked by tammiebrieck Jul 03, 2014 at 12:28 PM about the Honda Element

Question type: General

am looking for used honda element to buy, but am not sure of the various configurations designated by the letters LX, EX or LX-P or EX-P.

Basically, the LX trim left out the alloy wheels and had a different radio that left space for a cubby in the console. I'd stick with the EX only for future market value. When Honda first offered the painted plastic panels, they designated those models as EX-P. Those gray or black plastic panels DO fade.

Audio: LX has no iPod/mp3 port, EX does Wheels: LX has steel rims, EX has alloy rims Speakers: LX has 4 speaker radio. EX has 6 + 1 speaker (the 1 being the subwoofer) and CD player that can read mp3 CDs Fenders: LX has Black composite fenders, EX’s are painted car color (for newer models?)
