for starters...coilovers and racing shocks for a lower center of gravity and better grip, port grinding for d16 would slightly give u a kick...get any stage one boost or turbo kit, but if you dont want to go turbo get a short ram (K&N or any) and a bigger intake and exhaust manifold, a racing clutch (OEM twin-blade powerclutch in my case), a racing exhaust upgrade (the whole package coz mufflers wont give u shit)...

It all depends on your budget & what you are looking to get from your car! JDM Power Chamber induction with a quality cone filter, CAI(Cold Air Induction), quality header, performance pipe - manderel bent, no bigger than 57mm on a 1600cc, with 'straight through' boxes - & lastly a piggy back ECU or reflashed ECU to make the most of the above mods. This will not only make her louder&harder at change over, but also increase the performance! At the flywheel with the above mods, you should be in the region of 15-20horsepower gain on the wheels... 2c
