Meh, the 99 motor is a bastardization between the 2 generations. It has a 3rd gen head with 2nd gen cast manifold. It would be fine to use, I just don't like the roller rocker heads since their ports are so much smaller than the earlier designs for emissions purposes. It would be fine to use in your situation since youre not modifying it.
