The antenna on my 1995 Mark Vll stopped going up and down when I turn on or off the radio.  I can hear the antenna motor running but the antenna does not move.  What is the cause and is it an easy fix?

Inside the antenna is a plastic strip that has teeth on it similar to a gear. If the antenna is physically pulled up or pushed down it can become off track with the actual gear in the powered motor. Unscrew the bezel at base of the antenna with channel locks and remove antenna. If the plastic strip is visible/accessible try to manipulate it back on track. Remember, when it has completed it's cycle the actual antenna should be all the way down when the radio is off. Depending on when or what position the antenna stopped working, the plastic strip shouldn't be several inches above the body of the vehicle when reassembling it.
