Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Mechanic told me I have a coolant leak by the turbo. How hard is this to locate and how hard to repair? We just bought it used. First time Saab owner.

What engine do you have? If it's a 4 cylinder than it's not very hard to locate the leak (Don't know much about V6, cuz I didn't worked much on them). What comes to fixing it.. it depends where the leak is. If it's only leaking through the banjo bolt copper washers then you could just replace them or tighten the banjo bolts (only if they're loose!!). You can change the lines if they are damaged, which is not too hard either. Worst case (not very likely though) that your turbo's centre part (rotating assembly housing) is cracked. You'll have to replace the turbo then.
