01 jeep rangler. Takes a few tries before it will turn over and crank. after cranking first time I have no problem with it cranking if not over an hour after cutting it off Any ideas of why?

Jeep won't turn over sometimes. When it does, it occasionally make a grinding/scrapping noise. Any ideas on the root of the problem? 1 Answer

The starter is brand new, although a did tap it a bit and it seems to have stopped the issue (for now).

alt. has no fuse on unit. The charging system is working for the first min. or so! but then it trips something , & the guage drops from a charge to no charge reading & light comes on! if i shut it off & restart, it will charge for the first part again ! and so on ........ 2 Answers
