battery life

Question type: General

how much do the hazard lights drain the
battery on an '08 jeep grande cherokee?

1 Answer

42,950

With engine off, turn on the hazard lights, disconnect the battery cable and measure the amperage draw while they blink on and off. Lets say the amp meter/gauge goes from 0 to 10 amps, that would equal a steady drain of 5 amps average. I would guess a strong battery could do that for a very long time. No worse than leaving the headlights on. OR you could determine the average wattage of all the bulbs that blink, and divide by 12 volts to get total amps...intermittent amps.
