2007 Jeep Cheerokee wont stay started

I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado.
Recently when starting it will automatically idle
high to 3-4000 RPM & then die. Also my digital
dashboard reads "Transmission Over Temp" which
does not make sense because this will even
happen after sitting all night 12-16 hours.  If i tap
accelarator & quickly shift in reverse or drive it will
stay cranked, however this is not good for my
transmission & its a tricky techinque. I have had
different opinions from several mechanics. Doesnt
seem like anyone really knows. Help!

Replace your ignition switch brain box under the dash on drivers side connected to steering column
